WHICH IS THE MARKET'S BASIC TENSION ,IN THE SMALL OPEN BOAT CATEGORY?

The recent market researches, have shown a turn of the potential buyer's group to multipurpose-polymorphic boats, which combine the ,grand tourism type, small boat characteristics, with these of the center console sportfishing boats, as well as with the comfort usually offered by longer cabin and offshore cruisers.

WHY SHALL THE INTERESTED BUYER, CHOOSE THE HYPERION SPORTFISHING INSTEAD OF ANOTHER BOAT OF THE COMPETITION?

At first, the Hyperion sportfishing boats design philosophy,puts very few competition models in the same category. In any case the Hyperion models,offer "best value for money",as their equipment level, is met in more expensive boats.

WHICH PLEASURE BOAT TYPES , DO THE HYPERIONS BELONG TO?

The carefull deck arrangement,as well as the quantity and quality of the fishing equipment, put the Hyperions,at first, in the sportfishing category. On the other hand,the combination of the hulls with the propulsion systems and the deck comfort of the boats, (toilette cabin in the console,seats, bench,etc),as well as the trip quality , is usually met in good cabin cruisers. Finally ,the boats appearance, (lines and deck design), combine in the best way, the sportfishing type, with the classic one, of the open grand tourism boat.

ARE THE HYPERIONS , HIGH PERFORMANCE SPORT FISHING BOATS?

The Hyperion 19 and 22 boats, have been designed , (hull lines body plan and construction), to achieve max speeds, which ,(in the Hyperion 22 hull), approach the 50 knots. Still, for economical operation purposes, in various trip conditions, ( that is,lower fuel consuption),the Hyperion premiumdesign team, decided to determine the 200 HP for the 22 , and the 150 HP for the 19, as the suggested max propulsion power.

IS THERE ANY LIMITATION, IN THE OUTBOARD ENGINE SELECTION, FOR THE HYPERIONS?

For Hyperion 22, the design team, proposes,a single outboard engine, up to 200 HP, or a double engine arrangement, of 115 HP (for each engine). In the Hyperion 19 case, the proposal is 1 X 150 HP or
2 X 90 HP outboard engine installation. These limitations have to do , only with the economical operation of the boats. On the other hand, the external bracket is properly designed, to let the owner choose his preferable outboard engine brand. Finally, we must say, that the boats are offered with pre-installed hydraulic steering system,complete,( except its "bottles",the installation of which depends on the number of the outboard engines)

IS THE INBOARD ENGINE EASILY INSTALLED, WITH A V-DRIVE TRANSMISSION SYSTEM?

The Hyperion sportfishing 22, transom volumes, are enough, to allow the installation of an inboard engine, (even a diesel one),with a V-drive transmission system and propeller shaft. The engine is 180 degrees turned around its vertical axis,( the front part gets rear),the V-drive is mounted on the engine's side, that "sees" the bow and so the necessary length ,for the installation of the inclined propeller shaft, is available.This arrangement ,optimises the propulsion system installation and offers reliable and economical operation.

ARE THE BOATS EASILY TRAILERED?
DO THEY GET EASILY OUT OF THE WATER?

The Hyperions 19 and 22 , are very strong and stiff constructions, to satisfy the operational requirements, determined by their designers.On the other hand, their construction design selections,(e.g.. how many tranverse and longitudinal stiffeners should the hull have and the consequent aspect ratio of the shell's panels), have been made according to strict naval architecture rules. The weight optimization of the whole construction, offers the Hyperion 19, a weight of 850 Kg (unloaded), while at the Hyperion 22 model , this weight is 1100 Kg. So both models ,are transferred by a trailer, and get out of the water, easily.

WHICH ARE THE QUALITY ELEMENTS OF THE HYPERIONS 19 AND 22 ?

At first, it is the construction quality in the plastic parts, by the use of materials ,such as isophthalic resins, as well as the relative selections, (e.g. the 25 cm high girders of the hull, which are joined with the inner deck surface), that offer the necessary stiffness and strength for various conditions operation, and create a deck,ready for hard equipment,( downrigger systems, heavy superstructures,etc) and a general arrangement that offers spaces, for functional sportfishing and journey. Finally the equipment bicycle clothing level of the boats, especially the fishing elements, such as, baitwells, rodholders, iceboxes, as well as (in the 22 model), rodstorage, "foot grab-knee support" side arrangement,teak covered gunwales,sink, etc, in combination with the extra equipment, (e.g. the high quality bimini top),are of high standards in the category, so that , Hyperions compete in cost, much more expensive sportfishings.

ARE THE HYPERIONS COST COMPETITIVE?

Even though ,with the Hyperion sportfishings 19 and 22, Hyperion Marine created two boats of their own category, we can say, that only the sportfishing equipment level by itself is enough, to help someone conclude that, Hyperions have a purchase cost 40 to 50 % lower, than the competitive sportfishing boats.
